Keeping A Hold Of Clients

We’ve said it before- keeping your clients coming back is the life line of our industry. But how do we do that? How do we keep out clients coming back? If it were just a matter of styling their hair exactly the way they wanted it, then we’d never have to worry about other salons snapping up our clients. But it’s not that simple. Keeping clients is a difficult thing.

The first thing you need to do is make sure you’re tracking your numbers. Every three months you need to make sure your tracking the number of return clients you have, why? This is to see if you’re keeping your clients and tells you what you need to improve in order to keep your clients.

Another way to improve your retention is to base what stylist compensation in part on client retention. Motivating your stylists to keep clients coming back is a huge way to make sure they keep coming back.
