First, you have to have a goal in mind. Without a goal there’s nothing to really focus on. A goal gives you a benchmark to develop strategy to get to. With a goal in mind it can end up like a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy. Second, you need to make selling and retail a part of your everyday. You, your stylists, your set-up, everything you do has to have selling in mind. And work it in, don’t shove it down your clients throats, make it organic. Talk about products as you use them, or suggest a type of product to make them ask questions. Third, make sure you have stock and display it well. You can’t sell what you don’t have or that which clients can’t see.
