Booth Renter Battles

There are a lot of issues that tend to come up between booth renters and salon owners. If you are renting the booth or the owner there are some things to pay attention to that can keep the relationship on good terms.

Keys and hours are a big one. If you don’t give the renter keys, then an agreement should be put in writing that allows them in and out at any time during normal hours of operation. The booth renter needs this in writing in case anything happens that could disrupt their flow of business.

Retail is a battleground sometimes as well. The renter has the right to see retail products of their own choosing, but the booth owner does not have the right to try to sell something to the renters clients. Plain and simple. Those are the renters clients, not yours. Walk-ins are also a contentious area, and if there is no system in place you will run into trouble. Set a system up- in writing- ASAP.
