Animal Testing- A Covert Cruelty

How many products on your shelf say not tested on animals? How about we are against animal testing? Or cruelty free? How about organic or natural? Probably most. And the fact is, the guidelines for these buzzwords is so loose your organic not tested on animals shampoo was probably sent out to a third party who did just that- tested on animals- and/or sent to a middle-man company who made the product decidedly un-organic. While not everyone cares about these kinds of products, the fact is customers are getting more discerning every day. There are ways to verify that your product is what it says- often a little digging on the web will reveal the truth, but looking at where the product was made makes a world of difference. In the U.S. we no longer test on cats or dogs, but most products are still testing on other animals like mice or rabbits. It’s worse elsewhere, but the EU has completely banned animal testing.

So if you’re as worried about your products as your customer, just make sure you do a little digging before putting in the order. You may be surprised at what you find.
